Good afternoon Community School of Davidson,
We have continued to monitor conditions and assess roads in our region. Our families come to CSD from many different towns and counties, which is one of the several factors that makes weather-related decision-making very complex. Because our community is geographically diverse, conditions and impacts can vary significantly for our families.
There have been tremendous efforts by folks to get our campus safe for access. Some areas of note include removing all of the slush/ice from the entrance into the Upper School primary entrance/parking lot and Station 0 at the Lower School. Furthermore, the Town of Davidson Public Works snowplow came through Armour Street at approximately 1:15 PM, after we had cleared the US Entrance area.
I am writing to share that Community School of Davidson will operate on a Two-Hour Delay on Wednesday, February 4th.
Lower School: MS begins at 10:05; Elementary begins at 10:15 AM. Carpool begins at 9:45 AM. Staff are expected to be on-site by 9:30 AM.
Upper School will begin at 10:05 AM and carpool begins at 9:30 AM. Staff are expected to be on-site by 9:30 AM. The unique Bell Schedule for the Upper School will be posted prior to the start of the school day.
Mrs. Foreman will be communicating the plan for RIPPLE.
Satellite buses will run on a two-hour delayed schedule.
Also, please note that due to the plowed accumulated snow from our snowfall, some parking spots within Davidson will not be available.
Please make sure to continue to monitor Parent Square for any and all urgent communications, weather-related or otherwise. We will provide the appropriate grace and support to families and ask that you communicate directly with the school, if and when necessary.
