Our Mission

Community School of Davidson believes that every student can and will succeed in ways that reflect his or her own aptitudes and interests. Our mission is to use the principles of The Basic School to provide an optimal environment for learning in which:

Our Philosophy

We believe that every student can and will succeed in ways that reflect his or her own aptitudes and interests. Our students and their families come from a broad array of backgrounds, experiences, and access to resources.     Students receive instruction as individuals, but we challenge and encourage them to see themselves as integral members of a larger learning community.

    Class sizes are small with a teacher/student ratio of approximately 1:15, teaching schedules are flexible, and student grouping arrangements are varied.
