Open communication with parents plays a key role at Community School of Davidson. One way that we keep this pathway of communication open is by conducting monthly Parent Advisory meetings. All CSD parents from Elementary, Middle, High School and staff are welcome to attend these meetings. This is not an elected committee. These meetings are held in the HS School Media Center at 7:30 p.m. on the first Monday of each month that school is in session (excepton holidays the meeting will be moved to the second Monday of the month and no meeting in December). Please check website calendar for dates.
Parent Advisory meetings offer an opportunity to meet with the school’s administration to discuss current issues regarding the school community and/or to hear the latest school-related news. Parent Advisory is also a time to offer input to our school’s administration as we consider questions that might arise which could impact our school and students. In addition, various school committees are usually represented at Parent Advisory and use the time to provide committee updates.
Note: Parent Advisory is NOT a time to air grievances regarding CSD staff members. Personal matters should be handled privately and discussed with the person involved or an administrator.
